Supported / Suspended presents works by 15 Houston-based artists of Open MFA - Alexandra Constantinou, Jennifer Choi, Jennifer Bootwala, Sol Diaz, Andrea Garcia, Cynthia Giron, Hillaree Hamblin, Ryan Hollaway, Amari Lavergne, Erica Reed Lee, Autumn Mcllraith, Lorena Mitchell, Hugo Perez, Amanda Powers & Rachel Toombs; with contributions by Elijah Caldwell, Celina Garcia, Mayra Huerta, Adam Lupin and Nicholas Rodriguez.
The exhibition is centered on a collaborative multimedia installation composed over the course of 6 community meet-ups. As an artist-run group, Open MFA explored the practice of sharing responsibility in all areas of the exhibition process.
